Bad luck for me, I have non for any of those. Don't watch TV or movies, and don't read that genre.
I do have some for video games though! :D
Portal by far and Mother 3/ Earthbound 2 to a certain extent.

This is good list. I have not read any of the books but I have seen most of the movies and some of the tv shows. There is some very good material on your list. The first 30 minutes of Wall-E is especially powerful.

In my opinion I thing the Hunger Games would fall in this genre as well because there are parts of the movie where "fake" wolves, weather disasters and all sorts of science related things are happening in the game stadium.

It also takes place in the future and asks many "what if" questions. I agree that there are many science fiction aspects to The Hunger Games.

I never thought of how cartoons would fit into a science fiction genre. But know I understand what you are trying to say Pandora. Very creative and unique!

Good observation. Animation, cartoons and comic books are very popular with science fiction authors because it enables them to imagine and represent so many scientific possibilities.

Can you explain how The Lord of the Rings is classified as Science fiction? Since, to me, it has a lot to do with mythical creatures (trolls, orcs, hobbits, etc) and a made up land, which makes me come to the conclusion that it is a fantasy book. However I might be wrong.
