Planet Ixchel is a very neutral coloured planet where everything is brown and gray. There are trees, grass, flowers and various others plants, but they are all these drab colours. The aroma in the air is very different from what is seen with the eyes as it is a sweet – smelling spring fragrance. The inhabitants are a dull colour as well with four arms and many tentacles attached to each one. Instead of facial features, the creatures had “indentations” and more tentacles. They appeared very tall and in fact had no eyes, making them unable to see. Because of this, they do not know what light is, nor can they understand appearance descriptions. Their tentacles cause tingling sensations, drowsiness and comfort when touched by one. Although they look cold and rigid, they are kind and generous. Meg needed immediate medical attention and they gave it to her, allowing her to live, yet they did not know these strange creatures that had just landed on their planet. Meg, Calvin, Mr. Murry and the Beats all had a common enemy: the Black Thing. The Beats agreed to help them retrieve Charles Wallace from Camazotz. I would not like to live on Ixchel. The inhabitants are very nice and welcoming, plus they only want to help, but there are plenty of other reasons why I wouldn’t want to live there. Probably the most important one would be the fact that we don’t learn a whole lot about Ixchel from the book, so I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge, therefore I don’t know enough about the planet in order to want to live on it. Also, although not a major factor, the lack of colour on this planet is extreme, causing my life there to be boring and dull. Lastly, I would not want to leave my home on Earth to live on Ixchel. I like it here and I wouldn’t want to move to another planet, one that I barely know anything about. Maybe, if I knew more about Ixchel as a planet and its inhabitants, my decision would be different, but based on the circumstances now and the facts that are given to me, I wouldn’t want to live on Ixchel.

I love that description and I see what you mean by not wanting to live on Ixchel, but I would like to live there.

Planet Itxhel is a boring planet that comsists entirely of dull colors.the creatures that exsist on this planet are sort of like an octopus, they have indentations instead of facial features, have four tentacles and are dull colors. They cannot see and are blind. I pity these creatures because they do not have the amazing gift of being able to see, they have no eyes.

I agree with you that I pity them for not having the ability to see since I myself think that sight is one of the most important senses that humans own but didn't you notice that the creatures on Ixchel have better senses than we do and seem to live a better life than humans without fighting since they don't have sight to base judgement on other people while we humans use sight as judgement for others whic causes pain to others. What do anyone else think, us sight really an asset or a disadvantage?

I also pity these creatures and really wish that one day they will be able to see color. I mean imagine one day of our lives without color. Its like wearing black sunglasses, you look cool on the outside but on the inside its just boring.

I would love to live there! Its inhabbitants seem really friendly and curious, tey make you feel at home. This planet does not have any pollution and is cleaner. My only problem is that this planet wouldnt have modern apliances and the creatues would probably keep on asking how it is too be able to see.

Planet Ixchel is plain old boring! Nothing is fun about boring. Planet Ixchel has boring colors. The creatures on Planet Ixchel all have indentations. The creatures have four tentacles, which are boring colors and have no eyes. Planet Ixchel wouldn't be my favorite place to live but it is better than living on Planet Camazotz. Planet Ixchel's creatures seem to be friendly, Planet Ixchel is a clean planet and unlike Planet Camazotz, you are not under the ruler of IT.

I understand that you think that Ixchel is a boring planet to live on bit that's only based on how it looks. The planet is filled with very unique and exciting things that reveal themselves through the other four senses like the beautiful sound of the "monsters" or the flavorful foods that grow on the plants, so I guess you can say that through appearance Ixchel is rather boring but through taste, smell, touch, and hearing the planet is anything but in my opinion. The quote: there's more than meets the eye, applies very well in this place.

Planet Ixchel is a planet where Meg's father, Meg and Calvin find everything to look very dull, meaning that everything is colorless to them. The air had a very beautiful odor just as the"beasts" that lived on the planet. The beast themselves also were gray in color but had a very soft fur, they had no eyes and for arms and legs they had tentacles. They were very generous and kind to all three of them because they did not harm them in any way but actually helped Meg get better and stayed by her most of the time. I do not think I would like to live there because if I had to live there, then everything I would look at would be all dull. It would all be colorless and I would not be able to see anything. Plus, I have only learnt how one part of the planet is and what it is like but I have no idea of what other types of things are on the planet and if anything could harm me. Besides half the time the beasts that lived on the planet would not understand me and I would not be able to understand them.

Planet Ixchel is a very plain, drab, boring planet. There are mostly the colors brown and green but they are very dull and discolored. The smell of the air is very sweet, fragrant and strong, just like the inhabitants. The inhabitants of Planet Ixchel are tall, lanky things with indentations for eyes and tentacles all over their face. They have 4 tentacles where their arms should be and very soft, fragrant brown fur all over their body. They don't have eyes, but indentations, so they are not able to see. When they touch you with their tentacles and brown fur, you feel a soft, warm tingling sensation go through your body. When Meg was almost freezing to death, Aunt Beast picked her up, and Meg slowly started to get warmer and healthier. I wouldn't like to live on Planet Ixchel. Earth isn't perfect, but it's the right place for me. On Planet Ixchel, they are visually impaired, so you have to be careful with your words. (Example: light, dark, colorful any colors or shades, pretty, ugly etc...) I think the inhabitants of Planet Ixchel are nice and all, but my life wouldn't be the same, it would be boring and not fun at all. I also don't know anything about Planet Ixchel, so I don't know how to behave or their customs/traditions. Even if I did know more about Planet Ixchel, I would stay on Earth no matter what.

Ixchel is a plain boring planet where everything is colorless. All kinds of life that we have on Earth are there (such as trees, grass, flowers, etc) but are in dull and boring colors. The "monsters" of Ixchel do not know that everything is colorless and dull because they are blind. The monsters also have tentacles and fur on their bodies. I guess you could sort of describe them like an octopus but with fur. I would not like to live there. I would be the only human inhabitant on the planet, and also the colors are SO dull and boring, living there would be a bore.

"The "monsters" of Ixchel do not know that everything is colorless and dull because they are blind." I like how you said this because it doesn't just say their planet was plain and boring; it actually gives a reason for it. You're right when you say the planet is dull because they are blind. They don't know what colour is and therefore do not care if their planet is colourless. You connected two points together and it really made a case.

Ixchel is a strange planet that acts as a home for the even stranger inhabiiants that live there. The planet at first sight is very dull, boring and some times repulsive since everything on the planet is mostly coloured with a mesh of brown and grey, from the planet's food to its people, however when one takes a deeper inspection with the other senses, he or she will find this planet has more than meets the eye. By using the other four senses you can see Ixchel is a very nice place to live in, the food although appearing indelible and bland releases a delicious taste that the Earth's consumables don't contain or with Ixchel's scenery and weather, it looks grey and almost dead but the weather is warm and the air gives a fragrant smell. It's almost as if the planet sacrificed its trait of appearance to enhance its other traits like smell, hearing, taste, and so on. Now let's move on to the other life forms living on this unique place. The creatures who live on Ixchel are very different form other life forms that are on earth since they are enormous (possible 8 feet or higher), they own tenticles instead of fingers and ears, are grey/ black in color and have no sort of eyes to see. Because of their blindness the planet's looks hold no effect on them and just like the planet have even enhanced senses that make them on par or even better than the people on earth since they are able to make a sound/song that seem to go beyond and activates some thing in the brain thr makes the listener feel like he or she without pain. Another thing to note about them is that they seem to be more complex/advanced than humans which is why they had trouble communicating with meg, not because the humans were speaking too advanced but because they were speaking too primitive, also they are very kind considering the fact they are willing to take care of complete strangers like they would for their own children. I would like to visit Ixchel because I want or experience the grand things it but would only want to stay there for a small amount of time due to the germs and bacteria around the planet that could kill me.

Yes, indeed the planet Ixchel is boring, dull, plain, and colorless, but the creatures there have no sense of sight so they do not know what their planet looks like. These tentacled creatures are large, whom have soft, furry chests and makes people feel warm, and secure. Yet, they do not have eyes to see. Instead, they use their understanding to know what is happening around the world. I very much admire these "monsters" because even though they cannot see the nature or beauty ever, they live a happy life and are very kind creatures whom helped save Meg's life. This made me think about all the other blind people on our world, how terrible it would be to never see anything, and never be able to truly understand how something looked like, and how horrible it was to never know what "sight" is and how everyone around them would be able to see the things on our beautiful earth; except for them. But the creatures of this planet made me discover how life can still be amazing even without sight.

Planet Ixchel is full of these huge, very tall beasts that have tenticles where their arms, legs, and hair on the top of their head should be. Ixchel is a place where it is very dark at night and very light in the morning. I would love to live there, because all the beasts are very kind, esp. aunt beast and also a person gets treated just like if I were the same as them. The beasts also have no sense of sight either. Also between the beasts their isn't a lot of conflict. So I'd love to live on planet Ixchel with all the beasts.

Ixchel has creatures with indents for eyes and a nose and they have tentacles. They have soft fur and are very tall. When they speak their mouths don't move, but sound comes out. The creatures have bland looking but flavourful food. they all gather in a big cafeteria to eat. They are kind, caring and have the technology to heal others. The planet is dark and at night and light in the morning.

Planet Ixchel is a very strange but interesting place. It is occupied by blind creatures who have soft chests and long tentacles. These creatures are like angels sent from heaven above. They make you feel secure and are very soothing.

Ixchel is a very mundane planet. It is very meek and boring at first glimpse. Everything has a grey-ish contrast to it. The inhabitants do not have eyes so they do not have a sense of sight. However their other senses are very sharp. Like their sense of touch with their tentacles. I would love to live on the planet. It sounds boring but the author describes the food like Nector or ambrosia. I would like to taste that food. Also how Meg feels so safe in Aunt Beasts grip only adds in to the temptation of living on Ixchel. I would like to know that feeling personally.

Ixchel is a very dull and bland planet cause of the surrounding environment and how gray and how the whole planets only color is grey so is a very boring planet. Although the inhabitants of the planet do not care very much of the environment cause they have no sense of sight but only can feel and read minds to understand what is happening around them. They are not the most normal people cause they look like a bunch of octopus tentacle people with massive feelings that act as tentacles but they seem like very nice people to hang around with. If i had to choose i would not like to live there cause of how dull and boring the plant looks and the people with no eyes but with big fellers. Also how most of the time the whole planet is in darkness. So no i would not like to live there as my home.
