I step outside of my house, and so do the other 1000 kids that go to Camazotz Elementary. We all walk down 74 Avenue simultaneously on the ever so crowded sidewalk. Left, right, left, right, left right. Exactly 29 minutes later, Mr. Hagrid's 7th Grade Class turns right and enters the classroom. SCREEEEEECH go the 30 chairs of the 15 girls and 15 boys in my class. "Good morning class," says Mr. Hagrid. "GOOD MORNING MR. HAGRID," says Division 1. First, we work on math. "What is 20x+1, if "x" is 20?" asks Mr. Hagrid. "401, MR. HAGRID." we say simultaneously. Half an hour later is recess. Complete silence, except the THUD of the soccer ball and the SLAP of the skipping rope. 15 minutes pass by, and its back to class. "Music time everyone," excitedly says Mr. Hagrid. We walk down to the music room. Left, right, left, right, left, right. "Grab your instruments, class," says Mrs. Note. BAP BAP BAP go the trumpets. DOOOOO, go the flutes. TAP TAP TAP goes Mrs. Note's conducting stick. We sound so professional, like an orchestra. Well, everybody does. After music, we walk back to class. Left, right, left, right, left, right. "Science pop quiz today, class," says Mr. Hagrid. "YAAAAAAY!!!!!!" we scream. We finish the test exactly 39 minutes later. Everyone got an A+. No surprise at all. Lunch time rolled around very quickly. We all pulled out our tuna fish casserole. POP goes the tupperware lid. Munch, chew, swallow, munch, chew, swallow. Lunch time finishes 25 minutes later. "Time to go home class, see you all tomorrow," says Mr. Hagrid. "He says that every day," we all thought. The bell rings at 2:24. All 1000 students of Camazotz Elementary slowly walk home on the ever so crowded sidewalk of 74 Avenue simultaneously. Left, right, left, right, left, right. All of our mothers greet us at the front door. "HI HONEY!" they all say. We enter our house and the doors slam shut. Whew, what a day!

I love your inclusion of music class. I imagine music would be pretty dull on Camazotz since IT doesn't appreciate artistic variation.

We all stand outside of the door, waiting for the four rings to come over the PA system. As they sound, we all walk in a single file order into the classroom. "Good morning Mr. Dumbledore!" we all say as we sit down in our desks. "Take out your mathbooks" and all in rhythm "SCREEEECH, THUD". "What is the probability of pulling a red marble out of a bag with 3 marbles that are green?" 30 hands shoot up to answer "0!" We all skip rope for recess all to the beat "Thud, thud, thud, thud." We come back inside for our H.A.C.E. quiz. Everyone finishes at the 32nd minute. We go out for lunch, and skip rope again. "Thud, thud, thud, thud." After lunch we go down to the gym for Physical Education. We get out our basketballs and bounce them at the same time. "Boing, boing, boing, boing." We all file out after school in single file and arrive at our homes at 2:41. Our Moms all open the door at the same time and kiss us, then offer snacks.

I love you inclusion of probability. Would the people of Camazotz even understand the concept of probability? After all, probability is based on the possibility of different outcomes.

8:04 am. No, exactly 8:04 am. The 794 doors open down Camozotz Lane and 794 kids walk out and down the 4 steps from the porch to the ground. 794 mothers follow, holding their children's lunch bag in their left hands. The kids turn around, hug their mothers and accept their lunches. They walk down the street quietly, their steps synchronized. There are exactly 34 divisions at Camazotz Elementary. The 794 kids disperse evenly among the classrooms. The 4 bells ring, allowing the teachers to open the doors for their students. Everyone student enters, hangs up their backpack on their designated hook, grabs a chair and quietly sits down at his/her desk simultaneously. "Ok class, our 4 subjects for the day are math, English, science and music," the teacher says. "We will start with multiplication. 4x4?" The class answers in unison with "16." The teacher follows with "44x44?" And the class "1936." During English, they do 4 line poems. Little Johnny hands in a poem with 5 lines. "Detention," the teacher orders. Lunch time has come around. The girls grab the 4 skipping ropes and the boys grab the 4 balls in each classroom. They begin bouncing and skipping in the same rhythm for exactly 29.14 minutes before the 4 bells ring again and the kids go inside and eat their lunches, 4 crackers with 4 cheese slices. For science, they study the 4 moons of Camazotz and are told they have a test in 4 days. At music, they play songs with 4/4 beats, the only music around in Camazotz. Finally, at 2:34, they are dismissed and the 794 kids walk down Camazotz Lane quietly, their steps synchronized. When they get to their homes, they walk up the 4 steps to the porch and greet their mothers at 2:54 pm. No, exactly 2:54 pm.

I love the way you built your story around the number 4, a quantitative property.

As soon as i step out the front door of my house all the other kids will do the exact same at the same time. Then we would walk down the walk way in single file line no one breaks stride all the way to school.
When i get there at the same time as everyone else and then we would all star to work all at the same and they all say answers to question all at the same time! Same through out all the classes though out the school day. Then when every one is having lunch they eat in a very special rythem and all finish at the same time. Also all the same way to home leaving at the same time and walking all the way back home in strait line all closing doors at the same time.

7:30 my alarm goes off and everyone in my family wakes up, brush their teeth, comb their hair and get ready for their day activities
7:45 my family and I take a seat at our table and eat the breakfast my mother made consisting of 2eggs, 1 piece of toast and a glass of orange juice each. (Sand)
8:00 I begin my walk to school with all the other children in my neighbourhood. Everyone walks on the right of the sidewalk and in a straight line.
8:15 I reach my classroom and stand in my class number spot (5)
8:20 the bell of my school rings and all teachers open their door. Before I step inside I call out my class number, like everyone else before me have done.
8:25 i unpack and take a seat at my desk. I have my homework stacked on the right corner of my desk and the subject first on the agenda in front of me
8:30-12:30 I learn about science, socials studies and math
12:30 the lunch time bell goes,I line up once again in my class number spot but with a skipping rope and all the doors open. I skip until 1:00
1:00 the bell for the ending of lunch goes and I once again line up in my class number spot, call my number and file inside to eat
1:15-2:25 do art, band and writing
At 2:25 I pack my bag, line up and wait to be dismissed
Once I reach home I go straight to my room and complete my homework
I then go outside, skip for 30 min and come back in for dinner.

It's 6:30 and I can hear more than 700 alarm clocks from my room. Everyone brushes their teeth for exactly 3 minutes going up, down and around. We eat 1 egg, 3 pieces of bacon and 15 gulps of apple juice. All at once, the students attending Camazotz Elementary step out of their grey homes and all walk to school. We walk in a single file line entering through the office. The whole school is one big classroom because we want to be in unison. At recess, we all played basketball. We accidently threw all 700+ balls on the roof. We will have to get them down together some other day. During band everyone takes out their trumpet and takes 45 seconds to set it up. The band is so loud that everyone got a headache and we all went down to the office to rest in the nurse room. After 13 minutes of resting, everyone's headache was not better so we all called home at once. We all have the same home number so that didn't work. Instead, we went to the library where there are more than 700 copies of the book "THE MANUAL for Camazotz" . When the bell rang at 2:34, we all grabbed our science book at once and went in a single file line out the front door and walked towards more than 700 moms in the parking lot.

This story is wonderful. I especially like the 700+ balls on the roof and everybody having the same phone number. You have used humour very effectively to drive home a point. Well done.

It is exactly 7 am and every single boy and girl get out of bed. They go downstairs (all living in the same kind of house) and eat exactly one serving of honey but Cheerios. - some much for your own choice Then they all take a clean shower and get dressed. Put your shirt, then pants then e.t.c then all of a sudden a schools bus come out and you run to catch it. While your mom chases you to give you your lunch kit. Then she gives you a big kiss and you get lipstick stains on your cheek. The minute you see everybody you all laugh at each other because the same thing happend to each and every kid. Once you reach school bang! The bell rings. Not really a bell but a huge drum over the PA because they want everybody to hear it at the same time. There are no second bells. Then you ate your snack and went home because the teachers would get bored of teaching the same thing everyday. Also they don't know anything else because that's what they have been taught all their life as well.
