Im Mother Paula and i say that a tesseract could be extremly dangous. What you could do would be fold the space between you and the sun and that would cause for complete destruction over Earth (or where ever you are). I know the average Joe wouldn't do this but some people who are messed up like that. Well thanks for listening. (Don't you dare correct me on my spelling because im MOTHER PAULA).

I'd agree. The coding might not match up at all, initiating something that could destroy the Earth or the human who uses it could be lost forever within the very fabric of time and space.
Mother and Paula should not be put in the same word unless it's Earthbound/Mother.

Luigi, you hold a valid point! Obesity has already risen recently, a tesseract would put everyone using it daily on the verge of the attribute.

A tesseract is a "machine" of some sort that would practically be like time travel. It would be used to take one step and instantly be in, say India. I think this machine will be a complete waste because it would turn a profit for companies or it would cost about $1000000000. It would also mean we wouldn't need to exercise leading to obesity and other possible diseases.

Tesseract is the concept that you can create a "wrinkle" between objects. For example, you could create a "wrinkle" between you and the local library, by doing this, you can reach the library in one step. You could do this with anything. You could even do it with time. There are many possibilities. You can bring people who are injured to the hospital, or bring a doctor to them. There are down sides to this as well, such as there being nothing to stop criminals from committing crimes. I think that this can help mankind if it is controlled, like only certain people being able to use it, or you have to have a license to use it, like how you need a driver's license to be able to drive.

I couldn't agree more. A license would be a better idea. However the same thing with a driver without a license may occur. It's not that hard to steal a car, so why not a tesseract?

I see your point Annabeth, but I slightly disagree with you. Think of it this way. If you were a police officer and you were given the license to use a tesseract> Just once, wouldn't you get carried away and use it for your own uses. Its like saying here's $20, but don't buy anything. In my opinion it would be very hard for these people with licenses to follow the strict guidelines. And even if they do use it for the wrong reasons nobody will know that they did so. I wonder what happens if two people use a tesseract at the same time to the same place?

A tesseract erases whatever wall of time and space stands in our way.
A tesseract could potentially disrupt the already disturbed balance of the world drastically. Sure it be a glorious time saver and would bring joy to the world. Walking, driving and flying would be come rather inpractical and needless. What would be the point to any of this? At first the enviorment would reap the benifits until the overpopulation humans suddenly destroys the enviorment. If this tesseract was something you downloaded onto your I-Pad or I-Pod, someone could fool you into downloading a file that sends you somewhere dangerous by modifying the bytes and coding. Nobody could prove this unless they examined the coding carefully. By that time people would have fallen victim to the horrendous crime. How would people be able to work with bytes and coding that aren't compatible? Would it fail? Randomize? A paradox, that's what! The theory of the paralell universe maybe shattered. If a different universe is created for each choice we make is created, how will it react to the tesseract bending time and space, influencing how the universe works. If we modify time to work in our pace would it create a whole new universe or would the universe you create remain the same as if nothing happened? Or would it simply flow as if nothing happened?

The idea of a tesseract in this book is basically to squish time inbetween two spaces and be able to warp there instatanisly. It is basically like portals but instead of warping from start to destination with no effect on anyone except the time traveller it squishes everything inbetween these spots and effects everything that is in that line,. In my opinion this technoligy is completely useless. Sure it conserves time but think of all the possible terrorist attacks. And its not even the threats to national security. Think about the job loss that would happen. Say they invent technoligy that teaches you all the things you learn in school in 5 seconds. All the teahers in the world lose their jobs. Think about all the riots! People would lose their jobs as pilots on planes and flight attendants. People who drive buses. Their jobs gone. The idea sounds cool but it ruins so many peoples lives its not even close to worth it,

A tesseract is a device in which you can squeeze or fold time and space. It's an easier way to get to one place to another. It's like time travel because if you're gone for 3 hours, in the 'tesser' world, it will be about 5 minutes in the real world. I think it would be both helpful and harmful to mankind. It's helpful because, if you were to fly from here to England, it's a 9 hour plane ride. If you get motion sick, a 9 hour plane ride is torture. With the tesseract, you would be there in less than 5 minutes. It is also very harmful to use a tesseract. If you were in prison, you could escape very easily. If you were a terrorist, you could transport from country to country with stolen goods, and not get caught. The tesseract would probably cost big bucks too. It might cost about $100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. An average family cannot afford that amount! If you work at any type of automobile or plane company, business is done for you! People will also become very obese. They can be sitting on the couch and transport to the fridge to get another root beer, without making a move!! The earth would probably get folded and molded and squished with all of the traveling. It will mess up the space time continuum. You should also have to have a license. If you have to have a license to drive a car, then you should have one to travel too.

A tesseract is something lets you get to a place you went to go to in seconds. A tesseract is supposed to wrinkle, or fold the space from where you are, to the destination you want to go to. When you tesser and go to the destination, you could be gone fore days, but when you would be coming back to the real world it is like only a couple of minutes. If this was possible there are a lot advantages because you could be gone somewhere as long as you wanted and when you would come back, for others it would feel like a couple of minute plus there would be no need to have cars which would make the environment a better place. The disadvantages that I think could be that are, if you are tessering, and people or other objects get in the way, and get folded, would they harmed or still be alive after the tessering. Could the land on which people tesser, could fold a little by little every time someone tessered?

( accidentally pressed submit button) So the tesseract has its advantages and its disadvantages. It is harmful and helpful but would probably be okay if you used the tesseract only if you had to get somewhere very important and were running out of time or were late.

A tesseract is a way of travelling from one place to another in a short amount of time. Using a device or maybe a spell you choose the place you want to travel to, take one step and get rid of the space between you and your destination. ( say there is an ant on one end of a string and the ant wants to get to the other end, so it takes one step, the string folds and the ant is on the other side.) A tesseract can be both helpful and harmful to humankind. It can be helpful because it would allow people to travel in a matter of seconds, reduce pollution from vehicles and reduce the amount of accidents that happen on the road. It can be harmful because it can cause obesity when people only tesseract, it can allow criminals out of jail, it can be expensive and it can cause problems when so many people are folding away time. I wouldn't want a tesseract to be introduced to human kind because it is too dangerous. Anyone could get ahold of one and cause great problems. A tesseract has many great values but it also has way more dangerous values that could destroy the earth.

A tesseract is a way of traveling. A tesseract works by first choosing your destination. Then after you choose the place you want to go all you have to do is to take one step and you are there! I think that having tesseract technology would be both helpful and harmful to mankind. I believe that tesseract technology would improve pollution, global warming and going green. Tesseract technology would help traffic and accidents, for example, if people were in danger, they could get away from danger in a matter of seconds. If somebody have to be taken to the hospital, they would be taken there and save their life. Tesseract technology could also be dangerous because criminals could get loose, terrorists could enter our country and people would not be checked by the border crossings. What if somebody went to the wrong place or collided with somebody else's tesseract? Like Cynthia, I wouldn't like to have tesseract technology beacuse it is very dangerous and can cause many problems.

Tesseract is a way of removing the space between things. It suggests that with just the push of a button or the turn of a dial, you can take one step and be in the place in which you desire. It wrinkles the space between you and where you want to go. It can also wrinkle time so when you get back to your original location, almost no time has past. Tesseract could be very useful to mankind. It would save tons of time (travelling time) that could be spent with family and friends and it would make it easier to transport those who need help to those who can help, which can save lives. It would also remove the pollution of cars, trucks and other transportation devices. Although there are many advantages, I believe there are even more disadvantages. Terrorists could get anywhere without going through security. People would lose physical ability because they no longer have to walk anywhere and can get places with a single step. Those who are power hungry can use this device against others to take over by being able to develop technology based on tesseract that does evil. Tesseract could open the door to possibilities, but only the right minds would use it to benefit everyone. Also, the unemployment rate would go through the roof if all the people involved in transportation businesses would lose their jobs because there would be no need for them. Lastly, what would happen to the space that is wrinkled? Would it just stay wrinkled? If it did, the whole world would eventually be destroyed because it would become a wrinkled mess. People would be travelling from here to there and there to here, wrinkling the Earth along with them. Overall, I think tesseract would be hurtful to mankind.

In my opinion I think that the tesseract would destroy earth because what if somebody use a tesseract the people in between you and the place you want to go would all be crushed when the area inbetween folds. So overall it would hurt mankind and destroy the earth.

A tesseract is basically a teleporter. When you tesser, what happens is you are folding time and space into a much smaller amount, making traveling across the world like taking one step. If a tesseract was in the real world, it would cost an insane amount of money. Also, it would be dangerous because any criminals/terrorists could use it to rob banks, etc.

A tesseract is a teleporting machine. To tesser is to wrinkle time. If a tesseract was real it would be more harmful than helpful. With a tesseract, people wouldn't have to walk around, that will cause people to become obese which would result in more diseases later. Life would also be dangerous because a criminal would easily be able to get away from the police and once he or she has gotten away, it would be near impossible to catch the person again. Also, life for a terrorist would be very easy because after the terrorist has done the job, he or she would get away really quick using the tesseract.

A tesseract is a machine that wrinkles time. More so a "traveling shortcut." It saves time and energy by compressing the air or objects that are infront of them to get farther. I belive that if a tesseract was real most people would buy it no matter what the cost. I think that people who are physically active, doctors, and people who play sports would not buy it and think about the fun, and benfits they would lose by buying the tesseract. People who are obiese, lazy, jobless, and have severe injuries will buy this so called product and take a full advantage of it. By doing this they will get addicted to the tesseract and die earlier due to thier horrible health maintainence.

A tesseract is a machine that has the ability to some how fold away the space between where you are to where you wanna go. taking you any where in the galaxy or world in one simple step. I think a tesseract is a very dangerous for man kind cause no one knows what some one can do with it like a criminal can fold time into a bank. so no this is very bad technology for man kind.

A tesseract is a tool that can decrease the amount of space between your current location and destination but can also wrinkle time so when you go somewhere and come back, almost no time would have past. There would be many advantages to having a tesseract. You could visit family and friends around the world in seconds just with the push of a button. Also you would save a lot of money on planes, cars, buses, taxies and any other form of transportation. If people wouldn't be using these transportation devices we would not be polluting the environment. Although there are some amazing advantages that would help our world make everything much easier and some people would use a tesseract for the wrong reasons. Terrorists could enter our country, bomb us and be out in seconds. Also people will become more obese because they will just transport to there destination rather than walking there. People who own taxi or transportation companies will lose lots of money because everyone will be using a tesseract. Lastly it is very easy to go to a store and steal something with a tesseract. You could be in the store and out with your item in seconds. We should not create a tesseract because they are to dangerous.

A tesseract is a sort of machine or concept that, in the book, is in the fifth dimension. It is said that it decreases the amount of distance or time by almost folding the the distance/time making you closer to your desired place or hour. Although there are many benefits by using this concept, I would still say that it is dangerous to use since there are even more hazardous risks to it such as: enemies arriving in distant countries causing havoc, some one could go back in time a change one little thing causing a whole new future, we will use the planets resources, malfunctions may occur possibly creating many deaths, and many more. So unless anyone is able to stop those problems and enforce laws about using this tesseract, I would call it very harmful to mankind.

A tesseract is a tool that wrinkles time which decreases the amount of space between one place to another. A tesseract works like a teleporter, or a traveling shortcut that folds the distance/time. For example, if I were to use a tesseract, it could take one step and travel to China.
In my opinion, I think that if humans were able to use tesseracts, the world would go into complete chaos, as many people would be able to fold distance and time away, there can be people whom would use this machine to do bad things, and would be able to travel anywhere they wish. For example, anyone would be able to break into banks, steal information, or even teleport into someone else's home. There are also other risks of malfunctions, and humans may accidentally transport into a 2 dimensional planet (like Meg did in the book), which can result in death of many people.
Although there are benefits of a tesseract, the disadvantages of it are far more dangerous and harmful to the human population.

A tesseract works by cutting the space in between you and your destination so you won't have to travel as for to get there. ( for example, say if your in British Columbia, Canada, and you want to get to Toronto, Ontario in the shortest way possible, you could use a tesseract to get you there in one step!) A tesseract is also a cubes which changes in time. Its dimensions rather than being just length width and depth include this time position in time.
Personally, I think this would not be such a great idea for mankind because lots of people would loose their jobs as car mechanics and public bus drivers ect. Also it would make people have the easy way out in something that they don't want to do and that would lead for it not being done. And lastly, I think that since it tessers, that it will be VERY expensive and lots of people would want to have it so there would be a lot more burglars and robbers around.

A tesseract is a concept that states that a straight line is not the shortest way between two things. It works when you use your brain to rearrange the molecules which cuts the space between you and your destination.
I think that teaching people how to tesser is a horrible idea. You could let terrorists roam around in countries. People could also easily run away from the police.Wecould run away from court and criminals could never serve their punidhments. With every new step we take in evolving our world, there are benifits and damages to the things around us, we have to be carefull about what we create. We should also think about the damages carefully.

NO to the tessarct i would be way to dangerous. a tesseract give people the ability to strech time get rid of time, and remove the distance between where u wanted to go. this would be bad because crimals, like Al copone, yes i know hes dead its an example, could come along tesseract to the french art museum of history and quickly steal the Mona Lisa the most priceless painting of our world. it would also mean dimonds and other values could be stolen, because if u know someone is wealthy you will get greedy end of tessering into the house taking all the valueables and leave. which gives the whole family no money to pay taxes or buy food with. it also increases body wieght of adults and children leaving us unable to move, and finally, tessering could kill many people because do you know what happens to the people between you and your destination when uyou tesser they all could be falted into pancakes, or sucked into a black hole. that is why we should not tesser

A tesseract is a tool/concept that states we can travel in a fifth dimension. I think it is either a machine or a tool we manage and control using our brains. It works by taking you to the place you want to go by folding or "wrinkling" the space in between. This tool can also be used to slow down time. For example, in the book, they are all gone for a very long time to help their father, but once they use the tesseract only 5 minutes have gone by.
I think this technology will be harmful to mankind, because if they use the tesseract in space mode, it would fold and maybe the people in the middle might get squished and stuck. Also, people in prison can escape easily (and go to hawaii, for example) and terrorists can get anywhere they want without going through the borders/security. Another reason that this tool is harmful is because the human race would become more obese and the percent of obesity would shoot through the roof. So that is why I believe this technology is harmful to mankind.
