I would be scared because one I've only lived for 16 years then so I haven't seen, smelled, tasted or heard everything in the world and there is still more to come, I wouldn't want to say goodbye to my family and friends at such a young age. I would try and see how am I going to die and try to change my destiny because a prophecy doesn't always tell the truth and if it was a simple way that was going t cause my death I would try and change it or defeat it before it gets to me. Who ever or what ever is trying to kill me I would also want to ask why? Even if I knew the answer I still have the right to know. Also if I can't defeat whatever I would ask my friends and try to contact who ever my god parent is ( if I had one ).

I would be scared, i would cry, i would litterally have a heart attack, and cry some more.
What i would do is try to find out what i could do to prevent this. I would also find what would lead me to this death. Like being shot, stabbed, a god turned out to kill me for some reason, or there was a war. If i got shot then i would know what path i took to be shot, and where i was shot. So i either wouldnt go that way, or i would where a bullet proof vest

Well first off, I am 13 right now so I would have 3 more years to live. First I would take the major gods to court (if that's possible) for murdering an innocent half blood. I would sue them for immortalility and to be young forever. Surpisingly they can do that (they offer to in the last book). So once I would basically be a god I would never hit 16 and the prophecy wouldn't apply to me. With my new immortalility I would explore the world looking for ancient artifacts and become a pretty successful archiologist.

I would be very very very very very scared and freaked out. You get to live only 16 years of your life! That's not good. You wouldn't be able to finish high school, go to college, get married, have kids, get a job or even retire!! You would live for only 16 years of your life, when you could live longer. First, I would try to find out how I would die. Then, I could try to prevent that from happening. The only bad thing about that, is that you're cheating death. If you cheat death, then it will come back for you at any time, and it probably will kill you the next time around. Or, I could (just like Gandalf) find out who is going to kill me. If it were one of the gods that was going to kill me, then I could try to avoid them. If it was some random person that was going to kill me, then I could stay at home and not go anywhere, avoiding anyone and everyone. That's my solution for that situation.

I never thought about that! Those are really good ideas, but wouldn't you want to defeat the person trying to kill you? If you stay home and you live your life in fear, are you really living life or just avoiding it?

I just found out that I'm supposed to commit suicide so that the gods can live forever. At first I would be scared because I want to live a long life but I can't because of this prophecy. If only I was the child of Nemesis(goddess of revenge)because when I'm 16 I would get my drivers license, graduate high school, and live a long life. If I was the son of Poseidon I would die because I want the gods to live a long life. I would do anything to save the god of the sea and my father because family is more important to me than anything else.

I'd be freaked out!
If I had a prophecy like Percy's I MIGHT never get a license, own a home, get a job or have a family. I would be upset because I might have to miss out on so many fun experiences. If I received the prophecy news at 13 I'd have to live three YEARS of my life in fear of loosing my life! I really like this question because it makes me think about how Percy feels. He's a 13 year old boy who may only have three years to live, all because his father is part of the big three. Percy has done nothing wrong, and always wants to help the camp. If I were him I'd make every moment count. I'd stay out of any trouble and spend all my time with my friends, family and training. I'd never loose hope and id believe in myself and my fellow warriors.

But it seems like Percy will never stay out of trouble! Luke is still on the hunt for the Golden Fleece, Luke is still trying to get Kronos to life and Luke still wants to get even with Percy!!!

Yes i agree, but percy is always getting in trouble no matter what. Even if he trys to stay out of trouble, all the things(bad things) he has done would eventually come back to him before or at the point of death. Plus luke is still on his tail

Hmmm... To be honest, I'd be happy, as odd as it may seems. Tons of people die before 16, so at least getting to live up to 16 no matter what seems awesome.
True, I'd be paranoid, but I'd accept fate. Plus, I'd save my friends life. Better then dying without doing anything major.

If I was prophesized to die at the age of 16 i would be depressed. I wouldn't get to live any longer or have a future. But, I would live my life to the fullest while I can. I would do all things I want to do before I die and visit all the places I want to visit before I die.

I would cry cry cry and be very sad, Being able to live for only 16 years. I wouldn't be able to live the full will of life. I wouldn't be able to get my dream car, marry, have kids, get a job, finish high school and go to college. I just can't imagine what i would be thinking right now. Well i couldn't just stand around and do nothing, first i would find out how i was going to die and try to prevent it, second if it was a god that was going to kill me, i would sue the god for immortality, and third if there was no more solution and anyway to stop death, i would live my last years in happiness and do whatever the heck i wanted and live life happily till the time comes.

I would be very upset and scared at first and then think about all the deaths of people that happened before age 16. I would then start to live my life free as possible. Take advantage of all the opportunities I get, try new things and spend time with everyone I love. But, we should live like this everyday. It is hard, and I can't do this sometimes but life is unusual. Anything could happen.....

If I was prophesied to die, at the age of 16, I would feel very very very very sad, because I wouldn't be able to experience many things in 16 years, comparing to 100 years. I wouldn't be able to have kids, won't be able to finish high school, can't go to my dream high school, UBC, won't be able to go to my dream vacation, Los Angelas, or Californiam or Hollywood. Before the age of death of the prophecy, 16 years, I would try to do research, and ask doctors on how I will die, and try to prevent/ cure myself from dieing at the age of 16.
