A flashback is when a memory of the past come to your mind. Writers put flashbacks in novels because they want to emphasize the main things that might have happened in his/her past. I kind of like flashbacks in books because it tells you to remember it so if it comes back in the book you will remember.

Flashbacks are when a past memory comes to a charcters mind. Writers use flashbacks because those past memories may have something to do with his life and his current life. I like flashbacks because it makes a book more interesting and it makes you care about the chracters past

I agree. A flashback can help you to understand why a character does something or why things are happening the way they are. Is it possible to have too many flashbacks?

a flashback is when someone either thinks or remembers a memory from the past. Writers use flashbacks to show an example of something in the present that involves it's life. I like flashbacks because it helps me remember the past and it helps me imagine more about the characters.

A flashback is when someone sees or thinks of a memory from the past. Authors use a flashback because it gives the person who is reading the book a good understanding of the characters past, and you could have a better understanding later on in the book. I actually like flashbacks because it does help me understand of what is happening on the book.

Flashback means when you give a summary of what you read or learned from your reading.
Writers uses flashback to summarize the latest passages or comments on what has been happening in the story.
Yes, I love it when writers use flashback, because it reminds what has happen in the book, or give use a better understanding of the story, when we reread it.

A flashback is thinking about the past they have. Writers use flashback's to let the reader know about the the past of the character or write a flashback because sometimes flashback's help the character later on in the future. i do like flashbacks sometimes when they tell something funny or interesting, i just don't like it if it keeps repeating in the book

flashbacks are used to describe the characters past and things and memories to give reasons of, how the character got to this point in the past. I don't like it when they use flashbacks because its annoying. they just waste ink using these dumb flashbacks all of the time

A flashback is when you get a memory from the past. I think that writers put in flashbacks because for something to finally make sense like make a part of the story make sense example: why a person is chasing another person. I personally like flashbacks because it lets you have more to think about in the story.

A flashback is when a memory from a certain time in the past has come to you mind. From what I think, writers use flashbacks to give us a sense of what that person has experience with. To be more specific, the writer tell us what happened to this person in the past and what he thinks of whatever it is he interacts with, and it just gives us some back round knowledge of the character, and yes, I do like it when writers use flashbacks. From what I have said about flashbacks, it helps me to understand more about the character.

A flashback is a sudden memory of an event that has occurred in the past.Writers use flashbacks for a number of reasons. Sometimes they want to connect something with something that has occurred in the character's life. They also use it to give a better understanding of the character's past. Also when a character is in a situation the writer gives a flashback to show that the character has dealt or seen something like that occur so they have experience, and can deal with it. Yes, I do like it when writers use flashbacks, because I like to know more about the character's past to get a better understanding of the book/character's life.
